About the Role

The Digital Marketing Executive will help to support the execution of the Maples Group’s digital marketing activities, across a variety of platforms including social media, email marketing, video and audio channels, paid media and website. The Digital Marketing Executive reports to the Digital Marketing Manager and works within the global BD&M team to provide comprehensive digital marketing support to the organisation, globally.

This role is within a team that is a critical contributor to the overall client content experience, and the Digital Marketing Executive must adopt a digital-first approach, with the ability to execute on day-to-day activities, ideally with experience working in a digital marketing team structure.  Primary responsibilities include:

Social Media

  • Preparing, reviewing, scheduling and monitoring all Maples Group social media activity across the multiple social platforms
  • Assisting in the management and development of the necessary tools and platforms relating to the companies social media presence, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other secondary platforms
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Research competitor activity and industry trends across social medial channels
  • Assisting with the production of internal documentation of social media best practices, including supporting training programmes and guidelines for distribution to relevant internal stakeholders
  • Supporting senior stakeholders with their social media strategies as needed

Other Digital Platforms

  • Working with our marketing specialists on the creation, editing, and publication of website content
  • Supporting the delivery of paid media advertising (Google Ads, Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
  • Assisting in the creation and promotion of podcasts, webcasts and other digital training activities
  • Supporting on email marketing initiatives and their integration into broader campaign programmes

Research and Reporting

  • Assisting with audience research and helping to identify target segments on each platform
  • Tracking and reporting on the performance of such campaigns, analysing reach, engagement, lead sources and ROI, and developing other success metrics where required
  • Working with global Marketing team to deliver updates on digital marketing strategies and performance to senior stakeholders across the business
  • Assisting in collating monthly, quarterly and yearly analytics reports and summarising highlights for channel health, audience growth and engagement

Administration

  • Facilitating approvals / budgets for required digital marketing assets, systems and equipment
  • Helping to administer internal and external user profiles and permissions

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following: 

  • A Bachelor’s or higher degree or a professional qualification in a Technology, Marketing Communications or a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years relevant experience, preferably in professional services with knowledge of the financial services or legal industry would be an asset
  • A solid knowledge of the social media landscape and an understanding of major and trending digital marketing channels and tools
  • Proven expertise with social media advertising and audience targeting including the understanding of different audience types and platform-specific content approaches
  • Social media management tools experience (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Trello) including publishing social media assets and managing content platforms
  • Confidence in the creative and marketing fields and able to execute various timely tasks while working collaboratively and positively
  • Strong relationship skills and the ability to understand and quickly respond to the needs of internal stakeholders
  • A team player with the ability to build relationships within the Business Development and Marketing department both locally and globally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage credibly with all members of the organisation with enthusiasm and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, organised and a team player
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to multitask a varied workload
